Washington School Improvement Framework

In December 2015, Congress passed the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), reauthorizing the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), and replacing the 2002 No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB).

In September 2017 OSPI submitted Washington's consolidated plan to the Department of Education and received final approval on January 16, 2018.

Asha Riley will present an overview of ESSA and the Washington School Improvement Framework that is foundational to the Washington consolidated plan.  She will discuss what it means to have schools identified for support under the Washington School Improvement Framework.   Woodland Intermediate, Woodland Middle, and TEAM High have all been identified.
